Three poems for our grandmother
everyone leaves something behind when they die.
for the lucky it's family and friends asking why.
but our hearts are connected
forever entwined.
your courage, love and legacy
forever in mind.
it's hard to say goodbye
to those for whom we care.
and to face the reality
of the pain we now bear.
but we will never lose the enjoyment
that we all shared,
the memories we made,
or the love we declared.
life is an adventure,
and you lived it as such.
with love, laughter, and freedom,
things we'll miss so much.
but your legacy lives on through your family and friends,
and everyone's whose life you touched.
